Traffic Manager/Accounts Receivable

After nearly 30-years, we find ourselves in need of a new Traffic Director/Accounts Receivable manager for Combined Communications’ group of five Central Oregon radio stations. Come learn from one of the best in the industry before she departs for her next professional adventure. Experience is desired, but we’re willing to train the right individual for this career position in the radio business.

Duties include; overseeing the commercial-scheduling department, coordinating and arranging the daily commercial logs for each radio station, entering commercial airing instructions, coordinating with the production department to make sure commercials are produced on time and ready for air. This position will also provide administrative assistance to the sales and management teams, including computer entry of commercial orders, and maintaining the company database.  

Accounts Receivable; generate monthly billing invoices, daily deposit, apply payments, and track aging report, contact clients to collect past due payments, reconcile accounts, troubleshoot billing questions and discrepancies.


Other Duties; responsible for generating weekly and monthly sales reports for management and sales staff. Responsible for filling out network barter affidavits each week.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will be dependable and have strong problem solving, multitasking, and accuracy skills. Experience in data entry and a basic knowledge of accounting. High school diploma. Minimum one year prior experience in an office environment performing data entry/billing functions (radio traffic experience a plus). Proficient knowledge and experience with personal computers and learning different types of software programs.

Required Abilities:  Ability to handle pressure, manage stress and meet daily deadlines. Ability to complete data entry in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.  Perform tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and exhibit self-motivation. Ability to interact with clients, co-workers, and management in a professional manner. Able to sit for long periods of time.  Able to type and use ten key.

Job Description Account Executive

We are Combined Communications, Inc. (“CCI”) a major Radio Broadcaster, and we're looking for a seasoned advertising salesperson to join our Bend, Oregon team. Our salespeople teach clients how to market their businesses using radio, digital, cause, and event-based marketing. We want to talk with you if you have at least two-years experience speaking with clients directly and helping them solve their marketing problems.

Responsibilities include soliciting new business through prospecting and cold calling, managing and growing existing assigned accounts, identifying clients’ advertising needs and developing and presenting customized solutions to meet those needs. These individuals are also held accountable for achieving sales budgets and collecting on the accounts.

Minimum requirements: The successful candidate must possess exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills. They must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative and productive. In addition, the right candidate must have: • High school graduate; college degree preferred. • Two-years prior experience in sales/marketing and/or previous television/radio sales experience. • Must also have basic knowledge of MS office products, i.e., MS Word, Excel and Windows environment. • Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and insurance. • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
